About the Dolls

These unique hand-crafted figurative sculptures represent our interpretation of the guardian spirits inhabiting the forests, mountains, rivers and the plains of ancient America. Our inspiration is derived from the beauty and mystery of nature; the colors and textures of a sunset on the open plains, the aged oak adorned in new snow, an autumn evening evolving into a star-studded twilight. When you invite 'ANCIENT ONES' into your home they bring the power and peace from the drums and campfires of a long forgotten people.

The 'ANCIENT ONES' are not of one tribe or religion, but rather our interpretation of The People living in small clans throughout ancient America. The 'ANCIENT ONES' range from 16 - 20 inches in height. Their faces and hands are sculpted from polymer clay and attired in natural materials; leather, feathers, beads, shells, and stones. All of the fur we use is recycled from old coats. Each of the 'ANCIENT ONES' is adorned with a medicine bag holding a variety of healing herbals: white and grey sage, sweet grass, mugwort, eucalyptus, incense cedar, balsam and redwood, as well as a large assortment of semi-precious gemstones. We mount them on a finished wood base. Each standing piece is accompanied with a sculpted clay rock with their given name carved into it and is numbered and signed. A Certificate of Authenticity is included with each of the 'ANCIENT ONES'.
